ANTONIO FERMIN has appeared at Alice Tully Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, and has performed extensively throughout Latin America and Europe. He gave the Venezuelan Premiere of Igor Stravinsky’s Concerto for Piano and Winds and the World Premiere of Modesta Bor’s Piano Concerto, a work written for him. Other collaborations include Sonidos de las Américas: Venezuela at Carnegie Hall, sponsored by the American Composers Orchestra; Aspen Ballet Santa Fe at the Aspen Music Festival; Williams College's Puente Sonoro: A Festival of Latin American Musics; Cuarteto Latinoamericano; Pittsburg Concert Chorale; Magnetic Laboratorium. He curated Modesta Bor: Perspectives, a two-day retrospective at Carnegie Hall, and gave the U.S. Premiere of Bor’s Preludes and Fugues at The Dimenna Center for Classical Music.

Dedicated to performance and music education, Antonio Fermin has guided diverse initiatives. As Manager of Elementary School Programs at Carnegie Hall, he created and implemented programs aimed at motivating young audiences. His research on cross-cultural pedagogy, audience development, and piano education has been featured at the UNESCO-NIE Centre for Arts Research in Education, the International Society of Music Education, Jeunesses Musicales International, and YAMsession. He has served as Senior Editor for nation-wide music education programs for McGraw-Hill Education, Scholastic, PBS Kids, and the Aspen Music Festival. 

A Visiting Fellow at Harvard University, Antonio Fermin has taught at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division, New York University, Columbia Grammar School and Ethical Culture School. He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and holds a Master's from The Juilliard School and a Ph.D. from New York University's Graduate School of Education.
