The early stages of piano instruction offer the opportunity to

 Instruction ⏤ Ages 7-18

Students at this stage concentrate on the following skills:

  • Technique: students will learn the foundations to perform fluently.

  • Reading Skills: students will learn and interpret music with confidence.

  • Practice Attention: ensures that students’ time at the piano is purposeful and productive.

  • Musicianship: develops a student’s abilities to listen, evaluate and respond to the music they learn and perform.

Music theory serves as the gateway to understanding music, and it becomes easier to grasp when presented in familiar musical contexts.

The basics of music, including rhythm, pitch notation, scales, intervals, and chords, will be introduced and integrated into the lessons, making them both understandable and applicable.
